"THE EMPTY CROSS & THE EMPTY TOMB"

"Forever, He is glorified Forever, He is lifted high Forever, He is risen He is alive He is alive."

"FOREVER" by Kari Jobe is one of my favorite "go-to" worship song. I heard and treasured this song from Easter last year and I have added it to my Playlist since. I love the song because it is a complete story of our Redemption-from Jesus' death on the cross to his Resurrection!

It is indeed a timely song, but not that you can only sing it at this time of the year because the message is about Jesus, about the cross, about our salvation. It is everything about being grateful for GOD's saving grace and mercy for us all.

Jesus died on the cross for your sins and mine. His death on the cross meant we now we have direct access to JESUS. We can come directly to Jesus in prayer and praise. Thank you, Lord for the cross. Thank you for dying for us.

But Jesus did not remain dead, that is why we see an empty cross displayed on our churches nowadays. More than 2,000 years ago, Jesus overcame evil, overcame death, overcame the enemy. The power of hell was broken! Amen! Truly defeated.....

"The ground began to shake The stone was rolled away His perfect love could not be overcome Now death where is your sting Our resurrected King has rendered you defeated."

And so, the tomb was empty as prophesied. Jesus has risen from the dead and He declares victory over death! In John 20:8-9 did came and saw the empty grave, they did believe that Jesus has risen from the dead but still did not understand 'that He must rise from the dead'. Are we sometimes like this? We hear the Story of Jesus played, sang and preached every lent and celebrated Resurrection every Easter....but how far do we understand the depth, the importance, the relevance and the message of Jesus' death and resurrection in a personal manner.

Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus? Have you accepted His invitation to be your personal Lord and Savior? With this song by Kari Jobe, come into worship and prayer, down on your knees confess your sins to Jesus and ask for forgiveness for He is just and faithful, gracious and merciful to forgive you. Ask Jesus to come into your heart and lead your life from today.....the offer is free, no fine details hidden, no catch, no purchase necessary. Jesus loves you dearly.

I share you this praise and worship song because it has moved me in so many ways than one. It is a great reminder of what Jesus did for us on the cross. I always have goosebumps when listening to this song. I do feel the tremble, the joy, the power of triumph! There really is "No one like You, Lord!" for in your death I was saved, in your resurrection we have victory! It is also a reminder that Jesus is alive. The cross is empty. The tomb is empty....because JESUS LIVES! FOREVER, He is Risen! Forever, He is ALIVE!

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE! Make this a different Easter and start a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him." (John 3:16-17)

"FOREVER"

by Kari Jobe

The moon and stars they wept The morning sun was dead The Savior of the world was fallen His body on the cross His blood poured out for us The weight of every curse upon him One final breath He gave As Heaven looked away The Son of God was laid in darkness A battle in the grave The war on death was waged The power of hell forever broken The ground began to shake The stone was rolled away His perfect love could not be overcome Now death where is your sting Our resurrected King has rendered you defeated Forever, He is glorified Forever, He is lifted high Forever, He is risen He is alive He is alive The ground began to shake The stone was rolled away His perfect love could not be overcome Now death where is your sting Our resurrected King has rendered you defeated Forever, He is glorified Forever, He is lifted high Forever, He is risen He is alive He is alive Forever, forever You have overcome Your resurrected King You have overcome the grave You have overcome We sing Hallelujah We sing Hallelujah We sing Hallelujah The Lamb has overcome
